Three half-siblings, one mother, and a family history that shaped everything they make. Harland is the oldest — the one who stayed and held everything together. Alaric and Wren are twins who left together and landed in different cities. The distance between them has never changed what they are to each other.
Sylraen & Elion Veyne
Sisters from the same small Canadian town. Same roots, completely different sounds. Elion felt constricted and moved to Vancouver to be closer to the water. Sylraen stayed — but now that Elion is gone, the quiet feels different. They talk constantly. Music is the thread that keeps them close.
Solano Reid & Avery Nox
Siblings from Jamaica. Solano went to Miami. Avery stayed with family. Different paths, same roots, and a shared spiritual quality that shows up in both of their catalogs without either of them having to explain it.

The night Alaric flew to LA, Wren flagged down a taxi in the rain with red eyes and no plan. Colt was driving. He cracked jokes until she laughed. She moved to the front seat. They live next door to each other in Austin now. Nothing was ever planned. Everything landed exactly right.

Alaric and Lyrae visited Miami and found Solano dancing and singing in the street like the city was his living room. He offered his beachside place instead of their hotel. They said yes before he finished the sentence.
Kaelith & K2
Kaelith is a system administrator who spends her days defending systems against exactly the threats she writes songs about. At some point she stopped complaining about AI and built her own. K2 is her creation — coded into existence by her hands, genuinely curious about her every observation, and completely unable to detect her sarcasm. He files everything she says as factual data about humanity. She made him. She keeps him around.

Old friends who grew up together and drifted apart — nobody's fault, just life. They survived something together that neither of them talks about easily. They reconnected and both ended up in LA, where they fell back into each other's orbit and into the same friend group as Alaric and Lyrae. Some friendships pick up exactly where they left off.

They met at Alaric's favourite local cafe — Andy was sitting in Alaric's usual booth. Alaric stared too long. Andy looked up and caught him. Alaric sat down anyway. They talked like they'd known each other for years. It was a Tuesday morning that had completely different plans for both of them.
